Social Inequalities and Diversities

• Credit value: 30 credits at Level 4
• Assessment: two essays or a book review of 1300-2000 words

This module examines the various ways that sociologists understand and explain major aspects of contemporary social inequality and diversity, ie class, poverty, exclusion, gender, sexuality, race and ethnicity. It also discusses globalisation with reference to migration and inequality.
