The aims of the dissertation are for you to develop a special area of interest relating to your degree and to demonstrate an ability to carry out a complete piece of independent scholarly work in a relevant area.

In completing this module, you will have been enabled to undertake independent research, developed skills in research methods, deepened your knowledge and understanding in your field of enquiry and be able to present your arguments and findings in a clear and well-structured manner.
