Module description

This module will give you the opportunity to evaluate your professional practice and work experience with a view to identifying areas where you act most effectively. You will also identify which aspects are most important to you in an employment context, and consider these in the context of your identified capabilities.

Learning objectives

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

  • critically evaluate your professional practice/work experience, using appropriate theoretical models, in order to identify strengths and weaknesses
  • recognise the importance of formal and informal learning in terms of workplace practice
  • identify the criteria which are most important to you in an employment context
  • link your capabilities to career opportunities/enhancement, so that you can identify your preferred type of occupation, providing a rationale for your choice.
