Module description

Working successfully as the member of a team is a fundamental part of professional practice – in the workplace the majority of activity is undertaken working with others. This module gives you the opportunity to consider your approach to team work in detail, drawing on both academic literature and direct workplace experience.

Learning objectives

On successful completion of this module, you will be expected to be able to:

  • understand the principles of group dynamics
  • demonstrate awareness of requirements for successful professional practice in a group context
  • select appropriate techniques of evaluation and apply them to a common professional practice
  • monitor and evaluate your own professional practice as a team worker, drawing on relevant models.
