The Vasari is pleased to announce that Dr Elizabeth Johnson will be joining us as an Associate Research Fellow in 2017-18.

Elizabeth recently completed her PhD at the London Consortium where her research examined the continuing influence of the discourse of sculpture on contemporary art through the early work of Bruce Nauman.

At the Vasari she will be developing a new research project that explores the impact of digital culture and technology on the sculptural object. Her project will consider the aesthetic and cultural developments associated with digital 3D modelling, printing and scanning technologies, asking how the digital is informing art’s material objects.
