TRIGGER Board member wins European Entrepreneurship Education Award

10 January 2017

Professor Colette Henry FRSA, of Dundalk Institute of Technology, is to be the 2017 recipient of the European Entrepreneurship Education Award (EEEA). The award is presented annually by the Sten K. Johnson Centre for Entrepreneurship, Lund University School of Economics and Management, Sweden. The Award recognises an individual who has contributed to the improvement of entrepreneurship education in academia in Europe. This is the first time the Award has come to Ireland. Previous laureates include Professor Paul Hannon, Professor Bengt Johannisson and Professor Allan Gibb. Professor Henry will travel to Sweden in April.

Professor Henry is an expert on female entrepreneurship and is the editor of the International Journal of Gender and Entrepreneurship. Her expertise is invaluable in the TRIGGER project’s investigation into female entrepreneurship in Birkbeck.
