Energy Awareness Campaign

Birkbeck is currently formulating a campaign to decrease our energy consumption and generally improve the College's environmental footprint .See the Energy Policy Statement and the Energy Management Strategy.

We ran some 'What You Can Do' sessions for staff with an interest in energy & sustainability issues. This event was sponsored by the Carbon Trust, a government sponsored agency to promote energy efficiency. Ian Wiles, from the Carbon Trust, spoke persuasively to a receptive audience about the need for energy awareness, energy awareness within higher education, and practical measures people can take for themselves to make a difference.
