Environmental Management (BSc) (Part-time) - 2013/2014 entry
Study this fast-changing and challenging sector of environmental studies and focus on the theoretical, practical and policy issues involved in managing the environment in today’s dynamic world. Specialise in social or political studies, natural science topics or retain interdisciplinary breadth. Gain experience of working with information technology, resource appraisal techniques, business strategies for environmental management, and field surveying.
This course is also available for full-time evening study.

Course structure
In Years 1 and 2 you will take a combination of foundation modules in geography, economics and ecology. In Years 3 and 4 you can choose from a wide range of option modules.

Years 3 and 4
You can retain an interdisciplinary breadth or specialise in physical science or social science, and choose modules from a wide range of options, including:

- Environment and Development
- Environment, Economy and Society in Europe
- Environmental Modelling
- Gender, Space and Time
- Geographies of the City

- Regional Economic Development and Policy in the EU
- Remote Sensing
- Species and Populations.

An independent research project is undertaken in Years 3 and 4.
