Politics, Philosophy and History (BA) (Full-time evening study) - 2013/2014 entry
This course is innovative, bringing together the three disciplines of politics, philosophy and history in a unique combination. The course structure draws the three disciplines together and uses them to interrogate one another. The degree is unified by the three cross-disciplinary modules taught by members of all three contributing departments and taken by all the students. In addition, you can choose option modules from a wide range of topics, such as: the Third Reich; modern philosophy; and the city in nineteenth-century Britain. The course prepares you to undertake higher degrees or to move into a career in education, the arts, politics or journalism. The Birkbeck PPH Society, run by students, organises regular study skills days, a weekend away, a journal and regular social events.
This course is also available for part-time study.
