Overview
These programmes are aimed at those who wish to develop their understanding of people and organisations.
You will gain a broad knowledge base in occupational psychology and organisational behaviour. Both degrees focus on discussions of current research, with the aim of encouraging you to engage in critical thinking and reflect on theory and practice. You will also acquire basic applied research skills.

Course structure
You complete eight taught modules. Modules may include:
- Principles of Human Resource Management
- Life Career Development
- Motivation and Performance
- Selection and Assessment
- Technology, Work and Organization
- Training and Development
- Understanding and Changing Organizations
- Work and Well-Being.
Research methods and skills will be integrated throughout the programme. You will also complete a supervised independent applied research project.

Further study opportunities
Those with medical training may be eligible to apply for the related MSc Medical Leadership; please contact the Royal College of Physicians for further details.
If you are interested in further research, we offer a PhD/MPhil in Organizational Psychology. Progress to a PhD will normally be dependent on gaining at least a merit grade in the Master's programme. It will also be dependent on a member of the teaching staff agreeing to act as principal supervisor for your PhD research.

Careers information
A recent Graduate Destination Survey revealed that graduates from this programme were working as managers, programme directors, HR consultants, and directors or associate directors for a range of organisations, including the King's Fund, local authorities, banking and finance, Transport for London and Alstom.
They were employed as managers, HR consultants, analysts, consultant and occupational psychologists and training consultants for organisations that included the Quality Assurance Agency, HSBC, BT, British Gas, GlaxoSmithKline, local authorities, colleges and the NHS.
