Overview
This is an advanced postgraduate degree offering a supervised research project. Students also take a module on research methods in computer science and information systems, as well as three other taught modules.
By the time you have completed this programme, you will have gained an in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of your chosen area of study, which you will be able to use in problem analysis, evaluation and application of technologies, and research into new technologies.

Course structure
Full-time students undertake a one-year supervised research project, and also take a module on research methods in computer science and information systems, together with three taught modules.
Part-time students undertake a supervised research project over two years, plus a research methods module and three taught modules.
You select modules appropriate to your chosen research area from:

Please note: not all of the above modules may be offered each year. Selections are subject to approval by the programme director.

Study resources
You will have 24-hour access to several laboratories of networked PCs with a range of language compilers, database and other application software. We are connected, via the SuperJANET network, to the computers of other academic institutions in London, elsewhere in the UK and abroad.
