Our qualifications in corporate governance and ethics are designed to provide a foundation both for those wishing to engage critically with the issues of business and society and for those wishing to be involved professionally in the processes of corporate governance.

• Provides a thorough introduction to theoretical issues in corporate governance and business ethics.
• Relevant for practitioners in the private, public and third sectors; executive and non-executive board members; and those interested in issues of corporate governance and ethics from the perspective of management, politics and the environment.

Take the following three core modules:

• Corporate Governance
• Corporate Responsibility
• International Business Ethics.

Then choose one of the following:

• Accounting and Financial Management
• Climate Change and Sustainable Business Practice
• Current Issues in Employment Relations and Human Resource Management
• Economics and Governance of Innovation and Institutions 
• Economics and Governance of Professional Football
• Environment and Policy
• Globalization: Forces, Players and Management.

We engage in significant collaborative research and have excellent contacts with many public and private sector organisations, professional bodies and researchers at other academic institutions.

Birkbeck's Centre for Corporate Governance and Ethics serves as an institutional complement to the programme, providing students and graduates with the opportunity to become involved in the work of the London Centre and in the global network of which it forms a part.

We offer a range of Master's degrees in management, or you can go on to do PhD/MPhil research.

Graduates go on to careers in management in a variety of settings, including local and national government, business and industry.

In a recent Graduate Destination Survey, our graduates were working for employers including HSBC, Smith & Nephew, Transport for London and the Department for Constitutional Affairs.
