Map Production and Spatial Data
This module builds on Basic Principles of Geographic Information Systems, and is designed to familiarise you with spatial data from various sources and to provide exposure to the theory and techniques that are essential to present these data. We explore various types of socio-economic and environmental spatial data using popular GIS software, and will learn how to present the spatial data effectively following the cartographic convention. The module also overviews web technologies for GIS.
