Museums and the Collecting of World Arts
What artefacts do museums collect and what use do they make of them? This module looks at the role of museums in representing the cultures of the world and constructing knowledge about their arts. Drawing on examples from the British Museum in particular, it offers a critical review of museum cultures and histories.
