Introduction to World Arts and Artefacts: Africa
This core module provides a framework for understanding the visual arts of Africa, comprising the continent’s cultural areas with historical phases, key concepts for interpretation, and a selection of exemplar works/art practices. It offers an opportunity to address issues in the perception and representation of non-western arts in pre- and post-colonial periods.
