    • One three-hour evening class a week for ten weeks for each module, with a one-week break.

    • Normally two years.

  • Entry requirements

    • No specific formal qualifications are required, but you are asked to write a short statement (approx 300 words) on why you are interested in studying Politics and/or International Relations.       All modules are taught at university level and you should be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Students who need extra language support are strongly encouraged to enrol on one of our academic English and language development modules.

Politics and Government (Certificate of Higher Education) - 2012/2013 entry

      • Progress directly into Year 2 of our BA Politics and Government or BA Global Politics and International Relations after successfully completing this programme*
      • Gain a University of London qualification – expand your knowledge and enhance your CV.
      • Explore the major political issues and problems in the world today.
      • Take the opportunity to study politics in action.
      • Learn to analyse and compare political practices in different societies.
      • You can also enrol on any of the modules on an individual basis.

      * You must complete 90 credits from the certificate programme with a mark of 50% or above.

    • This programme allows you to develop an understanding of the nature of politics and government in contemporary societies. You will compare and contrast the institutions and practices of government in different societies, and analyse and critique different theories of politics and government. You will also gain the skills to allow you to go on to further study in politics and the social sciences.
