Language and Beliefs of the Ancient Egyptians 1
This module takes you through the basics of how to read Middle Egyptian hieroglyphic writing. It also covers the history of writing and the different types of Ancient Egyptian writing. Once the basics of the writing system have been mastered, you will begin reading simple sentences in Egyptian and then move on to simple funerary inscriptions. You will also look at the cultural topics covered by the texts that you have read.
