Multimedia Web Programming using Flash and ActionScript
Learn to use Flash and ActionScript to create multimedia web content (interactive images, simple games and Flash movies) and Dreamweaver to create multimedia websites to display them. You will learn multimedia programming skills and use Flash and ActionScript 3.0 to create interactive web content. Topics include: fundamentals of programming with AS3; variables and datatypes; conditional statements; functions, objects, properties, methods and events; event handling; classes and inheritance; interactive flash movies; building simple flash websites; and the use of XML.
(Prerequisites: (i) Introduction to Web Authoring using XHTML and CSS, (ii) Web Authoring using Dreamweaver, and (iii) Developing Multimedia Assets using Fireworks and Flash if studying as part of the Certificate of Higher Education; or equivalent web authoring skills (XHTML and CSS), basic Dreamweaver authoring skills, basic Flash authoring skills and preferably some basic programming experience if studying as a short course.)
