Course structure and modules

To gain the Certificate of Higher Education, you must successfully complete the following eight half-modules, worth a total of 120 credit points. To proceed on a fast-track basis to our Foundation Degree in Management, please replace any of the below half-modules with Module 9: Mathematics for Business.

Further study opportunities
On successful completion of the Certificate of Higher Education, you may proceed to Year 2 of Birkbeck's Foundation Degree in Management and gain that degree with two more years of part-time study. To do this, you must include Mathematics for Business as one of your Certificate of Higher Education modules.
Suitably qualified applicants may also apply for admission to the second year of Birkbeck's BA Management, BSc Business or other undergraduate degrees, but will still need to complete modules from the first year of their degree programme that are not covered by the certificate.
