The English Town
This module explores the English town – its buildings and urban landscape – combining classroom sessions with in-depth visits. Classroom sessions discuss the origins and development of the English town from the medieval/early modern period to the twentieth century, architecture, conservation and heritage protection. We will visit examples of a medieval, a Georgian and a twentieth-century town.
