The purpose of the further mathematics modules is to extend and develop some of the material covered in the mathematics modules, as well as to introduce further topics, such as partial fractions with both linear factors and quadratic factors at the denominator, linear and quadratic inequalities, arithmetic and geometric series and the binomial theory.
