This Foundation Degree in Management and Accounting offers you a flexible professional development programme in management and accounting theory and practice. As well as developing your mathematical, data analysis and applied IT skills, it will also enhance your decision-making and interpersonal skills, so you can become a more confident all-round business practitioner.

We engage in significant collaborative research and have excellent contacts with many public and private sector organisations, professional bodies and researchers at other academic institutions.

On successful completion of this Foundation Degree, you may progress directly to Year 3 of Birkbeck's BA Management, BA Accounting and Management, or BSc Business.

This course is also available for study in Stratford.

You will also have access to the Birkbeck Library and e-Library where you can obtain books and journal articles required for your studies.

Course structure

You take a mixture of compulsory and option modules, worth 240 credits in total.

In Year 1, you take three compulsory modules.

In Year 2, you take five compulsory modules.

In Year 3, you take three compulsory modules and choose one option module worth credits.
