Building Web Applications using MySQL and PHP

Learn to use MySQL and PHP together to create web-enabled, database-driven applications. You will extend your web programming skills to manage data in web-enabled MySQL databases though a web-based interface powered by PHP. Topics include: error handling; uploading files with PHP; manipulating graphics with PHP; object oriented programming; web application security and application design techniques and strategies.

Prerequisites: Introduction to Database Technology or equivalent, Web Programming using PHP or equivalent. Basic principles of programming.

This Short Course can be taken as a stand-alone course or it may be available as part of a Certificate of Higher Education.
