On this course you will develop an understanding of the basic principles, processes and applications of creative marketing and PR. Via case studies and other examples, you will learn what creative marketing and PR is and what both these tools can or cannot achieve.

You will also examine the role of creative marketing and PR within arts and media organisations, and explore the role and duties of creative marketing and PR practitioners. As part of the course, you will gain experience in the practical and creative aspects of planning and developing a marketing and/or public relations campaign.

You will also gain the knowledge and practical skills for an assistant or executive role. At the end of the course, you will have acquired the necessary writing, planning, presentation and basis management skills necessary to function effectively in a creative marketing and PR role.

  • Creative marketing and PR methods and techniques: print, visual, audiovisual techniques, the internet, event planning
  • Applications of creative marketing and PR.

This Short Course can be taken as a stand-alone course or it may be available as part of a Certificate of Higher Education.
