Actors in Development: States, Institutions, Markets

This course examines the role of key actors (for example states, institutions, private capital and civil society) in the development process. Drawing on a number of country case studies, it looks at the role of the state in development, before analysing international institutions such as the World Bank and the United Nations, multinational corporations and NGOs.

This Short Course can be taken as a stand-alone course or it may be available as part of a Certificate of Higher Education.
