Study Trip to Bologna

This five-day study trip explores the papal city of Bologna, focusing on Medieval and Early Modern periods. We will study the city’s dense medieval urban fabric, its towers, arcaded streets, religious sanctuaries, churches and palaces with original decor, as well as the seat of the oldest European university. The collections of the Pinacoteca Nazionale and Palazzo Pepoli will allow us to examine Bologna’s role as the cradle of the lofty Baroque style, as well as the new imagery of the urban poor and caricature, all originating in the Carracci Academy.

The trip will be preceded by a preparatory study session in central London, and will be assessed by coursework.

Please note that the fee covers tuition only, and that you are expected to make your own travel and accommodation arrangements.

    • Pre-sessional English language courses.

International students who require a Tier 4 visa should apply for our three-year evening study BA/BSc/LLB degrees, as these are classified as full-time study and qualify for student visa status.
