Birkbeck student surveys and feedback
At Birkbeck, we take our students’ opinions and feedback seriously. Receiving student feedback helps us develop our provision and improve our students’ experience.
We invite students to tell us about their experience at Birkbeck in a variety of ways:
- Module evaluation questionnaires: collecting students’ views on their experiences on each module
- Annual student satisfaction surveys (4 February-30 April 2021): including the National Student Survey, Birkbeck Student Survey, Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey and Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (incentive vouchers are available)
- Student Reps and Departmental staff-student liaison meetings
- The Birkbeck Students’ Union has a School Student Rep post in each of Birkbeck’s five schools.
Why student feedback is important to Birkbeck and to students
The departments want to hear from you about your learning experience on your modules, to inform our practice and to ensure you have the best possible experience.
- Your feedback leads to change. It’s also very useful to know what you have enjoyed and benefited from, so we can continue with these aspects.
- The more students who complete feedback, the more confident we can be that it accurately reflects student opinion.
