Autumn Graduation 2016

Autumn Graduation 2016

Seven ceremonies in the University of London's Senate House over three days (8-10 November) celebrated the achievements of nearly 1000 students.

Degrees were awarded personally by the Master of the College, Professor David Latchman, with Baroness Joan Bakewell, President of the College, in attendance to address new graduates and congratulate each presenting student.

November 2016's ceremonies also saw four new Birkbeck Fellows introduced to the College: John Biggs, Mayor of Tower Hamlets; Professor Sue Jackson, Pro-Vice Master for Learning and Teaching; Stuart Popham QC, former partner at Clifford Chance and former governor; and Professor Miriam Zukas, formerly Dean of the School of Social Sciences, History and Philosophy.
