Affiliate student applications

You may wish to attend a specific course of lectures for general interest, without writing essays or joining discussion groups. Alternatively, you may want to participate fully in part of a degree programme - to attend lectures, take part in seminars and practical sessions, and submit written work - without actually proceeding to a degree.

If you choose to study in this way, you need to apply as an affiliate student.

Affiliate students are usually admitted by interview. Priority for places is given to those intending to complete degrees, so you should check the likely availability of affiliate places early on with the appropriate Admissions Tutor - you can submit an enquiry via the relevant online course page.

If the course has affiliate places available, the department will email you the link to the application form, which you complete online.
