The Development teamuses events and campaigns to fundraise from alumni, major donors and trust funders. Money raised provides support for students and contributes to a range of projects across the college.
Inaugural lectures: the College invites all newly appointed professors to give an inaugural lecture, on a topic of their choice, to celebrate their success and mark their appointment. BBK magazine is our annual publication sent to almost 45,000 Birkbeck stakeholders, including graduates (primarily London-based), staff, current students, donors, fellows, friends of Birkbeck and the media.
