Employment history

  • Nick Pronger joined Birkbeck in the summer of 2008 as an associate lecturer in work-based learning.
  • Nick had previously been Director for Foundation Degrees at University of Essex, Southend Campus, and lectured in business, entrepreneurship and run professional studies courses.
  • Over the past fifteen years he has taught across a broad range of business subjects, particularly marketing, strategy and human resource management at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This lecturing has taken him to institutes in Israel, Hungary and Mexico.

Research interests

  • Nick’s research has focused on small business management, marketing and in recent years in skills acquisition for business students as part of his doctorate studies.
  • Recently he has also been researching experience in the workplace and ways of identifying and measuring this.
