Beverly Cleary Sculpture Garden for Children
Grant Park
NE 33rd Ave and Brazee St
OR 97212

Opened in October 1995, the Beverly Cleary Sculpture Garden for Children displays a small collection of bronze characters from Cleary’s children’s novels. Portland artist Lee Hunt created the life-size sculptures of Ramona Quimby, Henry Huggins, and Henry's dog Ribsy. Fountains have been installed under Ramona's and Ribsy's feet for children to paddle in. There is also a map showing places in the local area where events in Cleary’s books take place.

The sculpture garden was initiated in 1991 by a group of teachers, librarians and local business people who formed the Friends of Henry & Ramona and began fundraising.
