The sculpture garden at the Enrichment Center opened in September 2009 with a large scale exhibition of works designed by the center’s clients and local artists. Exhibitions change on a yearly basis.

Many other artworks are also on display and available to purchase at the center’s Gateway Gallery.

The sculpture garden is open to the public daily.

The Rosen Outdoor Sculpture Competition and Exhibition is an annual juried competition open nationally to all artists, managed by the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts and supported by Doris and Martin Rosen since 1987.  The year-long exhibition of those selected takes place on the campus of the Appalachian State University.

The sculpture garden on the campus of the Winston-Salem State University was integrated into the plans for a new auditorium in 1981. First work was installed in 1983, selected via a national competition. Artists whose work are currently in the sculpture garden include Melvin Edwards, Beverly Buchanan, Roberto Bertoia and Tyrone Mitchell.

Open Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00 am - 5:00 pm. Free of charge.
