The Beaverbrook Art Gallery’s Sculpture Garden opened in December 2009. The first of the growing collection of permanent works installed in the garden was The Birth of Venus, created by local artist André Lapointe.

This sculpture garden has been made possible by the City of Fredericton, the Department of Canadian Heritage and through the generosity of artists and collectors across Canada.

The Beaverbrook Art Gallery is open daily.

The one-acre sculpture garden is set within 27 acres of the Kingsbrae Horticultural Garden, displaying works from the annual Great Canadian Sculpture Competition (established in 2009) and permanently hosting the winning pieces in a growing collection of sculpture. Other permanent works can be found around the main horticultural garden, amassed since Kingbrae’s opening in 1998. Plantings are thoughtfully planned to compliment each sculpture.

The Kingsbrae Horticultural Garden website offers a virtual tour of the sculpture garden and information on the year’s winning artists.

Kingsbrae Horticultural Garden is open annually from May to October everyday, 9 am - 6 pm. Admission is charged.
