Birkbeck Science Week shares our world leading research with a wider audience

Science Week

Each year Birkbeck organises a week of free public lectures and related events to share internationally recognised research in the areas of science.

These events are for anyone interested in science and those who are considering studying science at university. The free science talks can be attended in-person at Birkbeck or attendees can join our global online audience. The Faculty of Science encompasses three schools: Psychological Sciences, Natural Sciences and Computing and Mathematical Sciences.

In 2024, over four nights at the end of May, the faculty will host engaging and interactive evening events, including the annual Rosalind Franklin Lecture and the Andrew and Kathleen Booth Memorial Lecture

All events will continue into the evening with opportunities to take a tour of the Natural Sciences laboratories on the Wednesday and explore the Psychological Sciences poster exhibition on the Friday. Attendees will be able to meet the speaker, as well as current faculty staff and students over a drinks reception which will follow each event.
