Seed Funding – UK Research and Innovation (UKRI)

Awards of up to £2500 are available to enable researchers to develop and deliver projects that engage people outside of academia with their research. It is anticipated that this will enable new collaborations to be formed or pilot work to be trialled.

Two rounds of funding will be available in the 2018-19 academic year. Deadlines for applications:
11 November 2018 (project must be complete by 31 March 2019)
17 February 2019 (project must be complete by 30 September 2019)

Institute of Physics Grant Scheme

The public engagement grant scheme provides up to £2,000 to individuals and organisations running physics-based events and activities in the UK and Ireland. Projects must take place by 28th February 2019. Applications must be received by noon on Monday 7 May 2018.

Engagement Seed Funding – deadline June

Seed funding of up to £2500 is available to enable researchers to develop and deliver projects that engage people outside of academia with their research. Research Councils UK (RCUK) funding is enabling Birkbeck to extend the existing ISSF Engagement Seed Funding provision to now include arts, law, humanities and social sciences.

Awarded funding must be spent by 30th September 2018. The deadline for applications is midnight Monday 11th June.
Applications will be reviewed by the Public Engagement and Research Impact Committee. Successful candidates will be notified as soon as possible. Reports about the project will be required after completion.
