Dora Vargha has published a piece on suspicions, distrust and conspiracy theories concerning Polio research and practice behind the Iron Curtain, ‘Cold war conspiracies and suspect polio prevention,’ on OpenDemocracy.net, as as part of a special feature on the website edited by the organizers of a related conference, Suspect Science: Climate Change, Epidemics, and Questions of Conspiracy, to be held at the Cambridge Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (CRASSH), 17-19 September. Dora will present her paper, ‘The Russians love their children too?: Cold war Conspiracies and suspicions in polio prevention’ at the conference on September 18.
