Student cards
Once the Registry receives your completed ID Card application form with your completed Enrolment Form and Fees Statement, you will be issued with your student card for the duration of your programme of study. This will normally be returned to you by post.
Please note: for security reasons, you must carry your card with you at all times while on College premises and produce it on request. You may be refused access to the College if you are not able to produce your card and confirm your status as a student.
Replacement cards
If you lose or damage your student card, the Registry will issue a replacement upon payment of a non-refundable fee of £10.00. If you contact the Registry for an immediate replacement, you will be required to pay in cash or by cheque and to produce further identification at that time. Acceptable identification for this purpose includes your passport, birth certificate, driving license or NUS card.
If you write to the Registry for a replacement card, enclosing your cheque for £10.00 (made payable to "Birkbeck College"), we will post the replacement card to you. Please do not send cash by post.
Damaged cards must be returned to the Registry if you require a replacement.
Please contact the Admissions team if you have any questions.
