Quality Strategy 2009-2012
The College’s Quality Strategy 2009-2012 was developed in 2008 by a working group of the Quality Assurance Committee. The new Strategy was developed in order for the College to integrate quality assurance and enhancement in its approach to improving the student learning experience and in response to the move of the QAA in this direction.
The College continues to use a broad definition of Quality Enhancement as "institutional policies and practices to improve the student learning experience".
The Strategy was considered and approved through the College's committee system in Autumn 2008 and may be found here.
The key section of the new Strategy is Part B in which the College’s enhancement priorities/targets have been identified for the 2009-2012 period, arising from: (i.) the mid-cycle follow-up to the Institutional Audit and the degree awarding powers scrutiny; (ii.) existing quality assurance and enhancement processes.
