Student Statistical Data for Annual Programme Monitoring of the 2008/09 Academic Session

The following statistical data should be used to inform section 2 of the annual programme report template for monitoring of the 2008/09 academic session.

Student Recruitment and Admission

• Baseline document displaying ‘Application to Enrolment’ average conversion figures by undergraduate course groups, for Birkbeck College as a whole see - app_to_enrol_by_prog 1,1 v4 birkbeck UGrad.pdf

• Baseline document displaying ‘Application to Enrolment’ average conversion figures by undergraduate course groups, for each School - Arts; Business, Economics and Informatics; Law; Science; Social Sciences, History and Philosophy.

• ‘Application to Enrolment’ spreadsheet providing capability to generate figures for specific programme of study (notes on how to use in the notes tab) - Arts; Business, Economics and Informatics; Law; Science; Social Sciences, History and Philosophy.

• ‘Application to Enrolment’ spreadsheet providing capability to generate baseline application and enrolment figures for the whole College, individual Schools or programmes - Postgraduate Programmes.

Student Retention

These statistics can be accessed on the BSIS Portal on the College website.  You should select the tab entitled ‘Management Information’ and then ‘Student Retention’. 

Student Annual Completion

• Baseline document displaying enrolment and completion totals for Birkbeck and each School, by undergraduate course groups - Arts; Business, Economics and Informatics; Law; Science; Social Sciences, History and Philosophy.

• Portfolio review spreadsheet providing capability to generate enrolment and completion totals for specific programme of study (notes on how to use in notes tab) - Arts; Business, Economics and Informatics; Law; Science; Social Sciences, History and Philosophy.

Please note that this data is not available for CertHE programmes so please use the following report:  Modular Certificate_ASR stats_0809.xls.

Award Completion and Classification 

These statistics can be accessed on the BSIS Portal.  You should select the tab entitled ‘Management Information’ and then ‘Programme Review Reports’ and ‘Programmes and Grades Awarded’.
