Careers in psychology

Our BSc Psychology degree - offered both by full-time study and part-time study is approved as conferring eligibility for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society and providing the graduate basis for certified membership. This is the first step towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist.

QAA approval

Our last QAA assessment confirmed the strengths of our degrees in preparing students for a career in psychology. Training in research skills was identified as a strength, as was the development of critical thinking and generic transferable skills, which instil confidence and transfer well into real-world employment and life situations.

The assessment found our undergraduate degrees open up opportunities not previously available or anticipated, and in some cases has a dramatic impact on career direction.
