Primary research groups
Our research structure is organised around five thematic research groups, whose members share resources and methodological approaches:
- Centre for Brain and Cognitive Development
- Cognitive Modelling
- Perception, Attention and Emotion
- Child, Family and Health Psychology
- Genetics grouping
While the research groupings reflect areas of strategic importance to the Department, the boundaries between them are fluid and dynamic.
Many members of our department contribute to different groups equally and, as a demonstration of this cross-group research activity, the Queen's Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education was awarded to the Department for the research of a number of individuals, who represent three of our research groups.
