Step four: check your personal statement

Finally, check your personal statement for spelling, grammar and punctuation. Ask a friend, family member or colleague to read your personal statement and provide feedback on any errors. Your statement is an example of your writing skills, so it is important that you spend time proofreading and redrafting.

Top tip: reading your work out loud can help you catch grammar and punctuation errors.

Undergraduate applicants can submit a draft of their personal statement and a member of our team will send you detailed feedback.

Next step: submit your personal statement for checking (undergraduate applicants only).
