Undergraduate Entry Requirements

Applicants from Iran with a Peeshdaneshgahe (pre-university certificate) with an overall average grade of at least 16/20 or the Konkur (National University Entrance Examination) with a high ranking can be considered for direct entry onto undergraduate degrees. These awards should be considered together.

An associate degree (Kardani or Fogheh Diplom) from a state university with a final grade of at least 15/20 or equivalent, or from a private university with a final grade of at least 16/20, will also be considered for direct entry onto an undergraduate programme.

Applicants with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or A-levels will be considered for direct admission to our undergraduate degree programmes. IB requirements range from 28 to 30, depending on the course.

Students who have taken any other secondary school qualifications in Iran (eg High School Diploma) are required to complete a Foundation course which offers progression pathways onto Birkbeck’s Bachelor programmes.

Relevant work experience may also be considered for students whose GPAs are slightly below the preferred requirements.
