Cleaning and pest control

Contract staff clean buildings across Birkbeck every day, including corridors, main entrance areas and receptions, common areas and toilets. 

Cleaning schedule 

Our daily schedule is: 

• Monday to Friday - all buildings 
• Saturday - Malet Street and Gordon Square 
• Sunday - Malet Street.  

Toilets in all of our buildings are restocked Monday to Sunday, as scheduled above. 

We also undertake periodic carpet cleaning and annual window cleaning. 

Requesting urgent cleaning services 

If you notice any spillages or areas that need to be cleaned quickly, contact the Estates and Facilities helpdesk (8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday).

Outside of workday hours, please contact the main reception at Malet Street. 

Pest control

We provide preventative and reactive pest control services across Birkbeck.
