The Boundaries of Identity

Three lectures in dialogue around the themes of identity from different subject perspectives.

Mon 19th March
The political and geographical boundaries of identity and ethnicity

Speakers:

Tues 20th March
The multiple identities of multilingualism.

Speakers:
Derek Hook (Department of Psychosocial Studies);
Jean-Marc Dewaele (Department of Applied Linguistics and Communication)

Fri 26th March: The conceptual and ethical boundaries of human identity.

Speakers:
Joanna Bourke (Department of History, Classics and Philosophy);
Robert Northcott (Department of Philosophy)

Each lecture will start at 6.30pm and end at 8pm and will take place at Birkbeck College’s main campus in Bloomsbury. To book a place please email Steve Stamp (s.stamp@bbk.ac.uk) stating which lecture/s you would like to attend. Steve will email you the room number before the date of the lecture.
