Is the euro crisis changing the EU?

Dr Dermot Hodson talks about his new book at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office

On January 21 2016, Dr Dermot Hodson gave a keynote talk at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s EU Economic Attaché Conference. The talk explored the question of whether the euro crisis is changing the EU, drawing on the findings of his recent book, The New Intergovernmentalism: States and Supranational Actors in the Post-Maastricht Era (Oxford University Press, 2015). The event, hosted in the FCO’s historic Locarno Suite, brought together economic officials from UK embassies in EU member states and their counterparts from EU member state embassies based in London.
