The Mathematics of Abstraction
Mini-Workshop, 27 March 2012, London
The mini-workshop will attempt to assess the technical status quo of the abstractionist programme, especially the following:
- Questions concerning abstraction with limited second-order comprehension,
- the bad company problem and the question of what forms of abstraction are permissible,
- how much mathematics can be obtained from forms of abstraction that are deemed acceptable.
