    Biography

    Dale's work is at the intersection of politics, social movement theory, communication. She has expertise in democratic transitions, governance issues like the Rule of Law and Access to Justice, within the EU and Central & Eastern European countries and towards Southeast Europe.

    Dale's current research examines the developing area of data activism - how social activism and civil society networks are utilising data infrastructures & digital technologies for addressing social and democratic governance issues. In particular, she is interested in how civic organisations are engaging with digital technologies to combat corruption and have a positive impact on environmental & sustainability issues, with assistance of citizens.

    She is an Academic Co-Director for Environmental Education Projects and Associate Lecturer in the School of Social Sciences at Birkbeck, University of London. Dale is also Visiting Faculty at Parami University (USA/Myanmar), Managing Editor for the Center of International Relations - a think tank based in Washington, D.C., and an OSUN-CLASP Fellow (2021- 2023).
