Biography
Raymond Caldwell is Assistant Dean and Member of the Executive Board of the School of Business, Economics and Informatics. He completed his doctorate at the London School of Economics, followed by a Research Fellowship at the University of California, Berkeley. After early career stints in Her Majesties Treasury, Philips Industries and nearly a decade in management consultancy, he joined Birkbeck College in 1993. He has served as Chair of a wide range of college committees as well as the elected role of Head of School. Throughout his academic career Raymond has blended theory and practice, working as an academic advisor and consultant in a wide range of industries and he has performed the roles of chairman and non-executive director within limited and listed public companies.
